Bill has been active on numerous environmental issues in Forest County and Wisconsin including:


• Member of Environmentally Concerned Citizens Of Lakeland Areas (ECCOLA), board member early 1990's
• President, Mining Impact Coalition of Wisconsin, 2004,  board member since 2000
• Executve Director, Northwoods Economic Development Project, since1999.  Working to provide information and education on solar power, composting ecology and other environmentally-friendly activities in northwoods; working toward initiating low-power radio station in Mole Lake area.  
• Work with Indigenous Environmental Network, conference organizing and solar power development, since 1994
• Active with Wolf Watershed Education Project since 1995 on just about everything.
