Dear Editor,
I am writing because I care about Wisconsin's environment.
I want to protect Wisconsin's rivers, lakes and woods. I want to be able
to hunt/fish/boat/swim on clean, clear lakes and drink water that is safe.
I want to be able to enjoy our beautiful state parks and hear the call
of the loon.
We've made progress since the first Earth Day in 1970.
Recently, the bald eagle was removed from Wisconsin's endangered rescues
list; a hopeful sign. But this doesn't mean we should stop progress toward
cleaning up pollution. Today, more than ever, we need to work together
to protect Wisconsin and our wonderful, outdoors tradition. We need to
stop Exxon's efforts to build one of North America's largest mines along
the Wolf River.
This November, I am planning on voting for ________________.
He/she has an excellent environmental voting record. This shows me that
they care about my (children/family's) future and in conserving Wisconsin's
natural resources. We need more leaders like ______________ in our state
capital who will work to keep Wisconsin a healthy, prosperous place to
live, work and play.
Sincerely,
