SMALL GRANTS AVAILABLE
TO SUPPORT COMMUNITY-BASED
TRANSPORTATION AND LAND USE PLANNING ADVOCACY
The Environmental Law & Policy Center,
based in Chicago, has funds available through the Nathan Cummings Foundation
for public education and advocacy. Non-profits with a budget below $75,000
that are not 501(c)(3) are encouraged to apply. Grants are from $1000-$5000,
with $40,000 available over the next year, beginning 15 April 1997.
A straightforward two-page grant form
is designed for quick turnaround to help groups that often fall "below
the radar screen" of many foundations. Call Jesse Auerbach at ELPC (312/759-3400)
to discuss the proposed project and to confirm that grants are still available.
