Jefferson County Planning For
Conservation Easements
10/99

The Jefferson County Land Trust will be sponsoring a seminar on 'Estate Planning for Conservation Easements.  The seminar will occur Wednesday, October 27th, at 7:30pm, at the Jefferson Public Library.

This seminar is designed to help landowners and estate planners recognize the benefits that occur from placing a conservation easement on your property.  A conservation easement, a voluntary prohibition against development of land, allows the land owner to realize various tax benefits.  These can include income tax deductions, property tax reductions, and capital gains tax reductions.

Attorney Norman Anderson of Wheeler, Van Sickle & Anderson, S.C. of Madison, WI will help the public learn about this exciting new way to practice sound financial estate planning, while protecting your lands from development.

Jefferson County Land Trust(JCLT) seminars are sponsored by grants from the Natural Resources Foundation of Wisconsin, the  Herbert H. Kohl Charities and the JCLT membership.  For more information contact Greg David, Jefferson County Land Trust president at (920) 261-4292, or write: JCLT,  P. O Box 194, Jefferson WI, 53549.
