| By a 5-0 vote, the Senate Natural Resources Committee endorsed
a bill aimed at restoring the independence of the the DNR Secretary.
The bi-partisan vote on February 2 indicates the climate in Madison for
passage of this bill may be changing.
The vote moves the bill, SB3, on to the full Senate for action. Now would be an especially important time to contact
your legislators and ask them to support this bill which will help
move politics out of DNR decision making. And it is particularly
important that the Assembly Natural Resources Chair DuWayne
Jonsrud also hear from you.
