MILWAUKEE BRACES FOR ELECTIONS

Political Action for a Clean Environment (PACE) is inviting anyone concerned with environmental issues in the Milwaukee area to a campaign rally on Saturday, September 28 at 9:30 a.m. at the Amalgamated Transit Union Hall, located at 734 N. 26th St. PACE representatives will outline the key local environmental issues and announce their fall election endorsements.

PACE's past efforts have helped provide the margin of victory in such close races as Dorothy Dean's County Board election and Sheldon Wasserman's successful state Assembly bid. PACE puts the important environmental issues up front in election campaigns, informing both the public and the candidates.

After the rally, volunteers will have an opportunity to go in groups to selected campaign offices for a few hours of door-to-door work or phone calling. For more information, contact Sam Gieryn, at 414-964-6081, in the Decade's Milwaukee office.
