Claire
Schmidt's activity report, continued:
including attending
two Wolf Watershed Education Project meetings, hosting
mining strategy meetings ( as needed), writing a letter to the editor on cyanide,
working
with the anti-mining coalition and attorneys to ensure that the mining
moratorium is considered in the Crandon hearing process, working
with the Metallic Mining Council to ensure that the scope of the
mine permit applicant
qualification rules are broad and effective, and working
with co-chair Jim Wise to prepare for the Crandon mine Draft
Environmental Impact Statement (possibly due in January.)
In addition, I intend to work with a consultant on a cyanide booklet
and power point for use in outreach and education efforts on Crandon
mine.
