Bruce
Lindgren's organizing work - 7/03:
In the next few
months, I aim to increase the visibility of the new Northwestern Hub
organization—the Inland Sea Society—and the Regional Coordinator
(me!). To do this, I
plan to spend some time out “in the field,” making presentations
to 6-9 groups and attending 3-6 meetings among potential member
organizations. Along the same lines, I want to clarify and if
possible, firm up our relations with the Lake
Superior Alliance and the
Lake Superior Greens as
(former?) member organizations.
Indoors, I’ll be working on a digital presentation
emphasizing the work of WSN and the benefits of WSN membership.
In the area of WSN Issues work, three catch my attention:
Forest Fragmentation—on
this one, I’ll be developing a position statement/resolution for
the Economic Development Community regarding the Management Plan for
CNNF, and continuing the effort with the ATV initiative; on Mercury,
I’ll need to consult with the Issue Chair, but I think my likely
focus will be on education; on Shoreland/Riparian
I’ll also consult with the Issue Chair—I see a likely focus
on the NR115 revision.
